Alabama (22-5) begins a four-game home stretch with a pair of in-state matchups at Rhoads Stadium this week, hosting Samford (6-19) on Tuesday, March 19 at 6 p.m. CT and UAB (12-15) on Wednesday, March 20 at 6 p.m. CT.

Five-Game Roadtrip for Baseball Begins with Contest at Alabama State

Alabama baseball will begin a five-game stint away from Tuscaloosa starting on Tuesday when the ninth-ranked Tide travels to Alabama State.

The matchup in Montgomery is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex on ASU's campus. Fans can listen to all the action live on the Crimson Tide Sports Network.

Tide enter the NCAA Tourney as the No. 4 seed in the West Region

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama men’s basketball is headed to Spokane, Washington to start its quest for a national title.

The Crimson Tide earned a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament and a matchup with No. 13 Charleston in the round of 64.

The Tide is scheduled for Friday at 6:35 p.m. CT (truTV) in Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The Charleston Cougars (27-7) are coming off a CAA Tournament win.

The Tide won its first series on SEC Opening Weekend since 2016

A three-run, go-ahead home run from Gage Miller in the eighth powered Alabama baseball to an eventual 7-6 win over fifth-ranked Tennessee on Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

The victory helped the 12th-ranked Crimson Tide clinch the series against the Vols and improve to 17-3 on the season, including a 2-1 mark in Southeastern Conference play.

The Tide took an early lead with one in the first but a four-spot in the third helped the Vols gain the advantage.

No. 7 Bama Becomes First Team to Hit 198 Against No.1 OU

The No. 7 Alabama gymnastics program rolled to a 198.025 team score – the highest road score for the Crimson Tide this season – to become top-ranked Oklahoma's (24-0, 4-0 Big 12) first opponent this season to reach 198.

Despite that, the Crimson Tide fell to the Sooners 198.775 to 198.025.

The Tide (12-4-1; 3-3-1 SEC) got off to an early lead thanks to UA's uneven bars lineup as half of the Tide's lineup posted a 9.925 or higher.

Luisa Blanco tied her career-high of 9.975 as anchor for a share of the event title.

Bama Holds Off Seventh-Inning Rally to Defeat UGA, 5-4, Sunday


Athens, GA

Looking to avoid a series sweep Sunday afternoon in Athens, Alabama held off a seventh-inning Georgia rally to win game three, 5-4, as a strikeout stranded the bases loaded and the potential winning run in scoring position.

Alabama (22-5, 2-4 SEC) fell behind after an RBI double from Lyndi Rae Davis put Georgia (23-4, 2-1 SEC) up 1-0 in the third but the Crimson Tide quickly tied it back up with a solo home run from Jenna Johnson to lead off the top of the fourth.

No. 2 TE Linkon Cure has 'great' interest in Alabama

Kalen DeBoer and the rest of his Alabama staff continue to build their board for the 2025 class. One of the latest additions is four-star Linkon Cure (Goodland, KS).

The No. 2 tight end in the country picked up an offer from tight ends coach Bryan Ellis on March 12.

Bama247 caught up with the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder for some thoughts on the Crimson Tide. The offer was something he had been waiting on.

Women’s Basketball named 8-seed, to play FSU in NCAA Tourney

The Crimson Tide was awarded an at-large bid on Sunday night and will be a No. 8 seed. UA will travel to Austin, Texas, and play nine-seeded Florida State in the Moody Center.

The Longhorns are hosting No. 16 Drexel on the other side of the bracket. Should the Crimson Tide advance, it’ll move to the Portland Regional.

Alabama finished the season 23-9 overall and 10-6 in the Southeastern Conference.

Softball Drops Saturday Game to Georgia, 11-3, by run rule

Alabama dropped its second game of the weekend Saturday afternoon as Georgia clinched the three-game series with an 11-3 win in five innings.

Alabama (21-5, 1-4 SEC) fell behind early after a pair of Georgia (23-3, 2-0 SEC) home runs in the first and second innings quickly made it 6-0.

The Crimson Tide got one back with an RBI double from Kenleigh Cahalan in the top of the fourth.

Nate Oats talks new contract, building Bama basketball

Before Alabama basketball’s loss on Friday against Florida in the SEC Tournament semifinals, UA athletics director Greg Byrne announced on social media that head coach Nate Oats was receiving an extension.

The news came shortly after the Michigan job opened, and multiple reports state it will make Oats one of the five highest-paid coaches in college basketball.

After the game, Oats said he was thrilled to remain at Alabama.

Bama Sends Eight to NCAA Men’s Swim & Diving Championships


Indianapolis, IN

Eight Alabama student-athletes will represent the Crimson Tide at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships held March 27-30 at the IU Natatorium, on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), in Indianapolis.

Alabama will have 14 entries at the national meet including three relay events.

Kaique Alves, Charlie Hawke and Tommy Hagar were selected to swim in a trio of individual events.

Baseball Falls to Sixth-Ranked Tennessee, 11-3, to Open SEC Play

Alabama baseball fell to the sixth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers, 11-3, on Friday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The 12th-ranked Crimson Tide moved to 15-3 overall and 0-1 in Southeastern Conference play.

Tennessee gained an early lead with one in the first, but the Tide answered with two runs in the home half thanks to back-to-back home runs from TJ McCants and Ian Petrutz.

Alabama Falls in Series Opener to Georgia Friday

Trailing by two in the seventh inning, Alabama brought the potential go-ahead run to the plate but Georgia ultimately held on to secure the 4-2 win and take Friday's series opener.

Alabama (21-4, 1-3 SEC) got on the board first with a second-inning solo home run from Kenleigh Cahalan and led until Georgia (22-3, 1-0 SEC) hit a three-run home run with two outs in the fourth to move in front, 3-1.

Alabama softball earned its fourth ranked victory of the season Wednesday night, a 4-1 road win over Florida State.

No. 14 Alabama (21-3) jumped ahead early over 16th-ranked Florida State (17-6) with two runs in the top of the first inning on a solo home run from Abby Duchscherer and RBI single from Bailey Dowling.

Jamison Sears Named SEC Co-Specialist of the Week

Alabama gymnast Jamison Sears was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Specialist of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

As only a freshman, Sears stepped up as leadoff in Alabama's vault lineup and posted a career-high 9.925 to begin the quad meet for the Crimson Tide.

Late Rally Not Enough in Baseball's 9-7 Loss at Southern Miss

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball's late comeback came up just short in the Crimson Tide's 9-7 loss to Southern Miss on Tuesday evening at Pete Taylor Park.

Following the midweek, the 13th-ranked Tide is now 15-2 on the season.

Southern Miss gained a four-run advantage after two innings before Bryce Eblin got the Tide on the board in the third with a solo homer.
