Baseball Suffers 10-1 Loss at UK on Sunday

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball suffered a 10-1 loss to 12th-ranked Kentucky on Sunday at Kentucky Proud Park. The loss moved the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide to 22-10 on the season and 4-8 in Southeastern Conference play.

Kentucky got on the board with three in the second with Alabama getting a run of its own in the top of the third.

The Wildcats then added two in the home half of the third before putting the game out of reach with a five-run seventh.

Baseball Falls at Kentucky on Saturday, 7-0

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball was blanked by 12th-ranked Kentucky, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at Kentucky Proud Park.

The loss clinched the series for the Wildcats and moved the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide to 22-9 on the season and 4-7 in Southeastern Conference play.

Kentucky built a 3-0 lead after three frames, plating one in the first and two in the second.

The Wildcats added four in the sixth to make it a 7-0 affair, the eventual final.

Baseball Holds Off Late Rally from Samford for 11-10 Win

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball held off a late rally by Samford to claim an 11-10 win on Wednesday afternoon at Joe Lee Griffin Field. Following the midweek, the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 22-7 overall.

Alabama gained a 3-0 advantage early with a two-run first and one run in the second.

The Tide then added two more in the top of the fifth before Samford was able to get on the board with three in the home half of that inning.

Late Rally Falls Short in Baseball's 9-8 Loss to #10 So. Carolina

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball's ninth-inning comeback fell just short in a 9-8 loss to 10th-ranked South Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

Following the series finale, the 15th-ranked Crimson Tide moved to 21-7 overall and 4-5 in Southeastern Conference play.

Alabama built a four-run advantage to start the day, plating one apiece in the second and fourth with a two-run third in between.

Wild Pitch Win for Baseball as Tide Downs South Carolina, 4-3

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball clawed back from an early deficit for a 4-3 win over 10th-ranked South Carolina on Thursday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

With the victory, the 15th-ranked Crimson Tide improves to 20-6 overall and 3-4 in Southeastern Conference play.

South Carolina gained the early advantage with a two-run first.

Crimson Tide Suffers 10-5 Loss at UGA For Sweep

Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball suffered a 10-5 loss to Georgia on Sunday afternoon at Foley Field. Following the series finale with the Bulldogs, the ninth-ranked Crimson Tide is now 18-6 on the season and 2-4 in Southeastern Conference play.

Things were even at 1-1 at the midway point of the second when Georgia began a stretch of eight unanswered runs headed to the seventh.

In that seventh, the Tide cut into the lead with a three-run homer from Kade Snell.

Baseball Falls in Both Ends of DH at Georgia on Saturday


Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball fell in both games of a doubleheader with Georgia on Saturday at Foley Field. The ninth-ranked Crimson Tide is now 18-5 overall and 2-3 in Southeastern Conference play for the season.

Alabama and Georgia were tied at 5-5 from the fourth inning on before a grand slam in the ninth walked it off for the Bulldogs in game one.

The two teams were tied at 3-3 after three innings in game two before UA moved ahead with one run in the seventh.

McCants’ Huge Night Powered Baseball to 15-7 Win at Alabama St.

Montgomery, AL

Alabama used a huge night from TJ McCants to secure a 15-7 win over Alabama State on Tuesday evening at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex. With the victory, the ninth-ranked Crimson Tide is now 18-3 overall on the season.

McCants recorded a 4-for-4 night that included a double, three home runs, six RBI, four runs scored and one walk as he reached in all five plate appearances before being pulled from the game.

The senior hit a solo homer, a two-run shot and a three-run bomb for each of his roundtrippers.

Five-Game Roadtrip for Baseball Begins with Contest at Alabama State

Alabama baseball will begin a five-game stint away from Tuscaloosa starting on Tuesday when the ninth-ranked Tide travels to Alabama State.

The matchup in Montgomery is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex on ASU's campus. Fans can listen to all the action live on the Crimson Tide Sports Network.

The Tide won its first series on SEC Opening Weekend since 2016

A three-run, go-ahead home run from Gage Miller in the eighth powered Alabama baseball to an eventual 7-6 win over fifth-ranked Tennessee on Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

The victory helped the 12th-ranked Crimson Tide clinch the series against the Vols and improve to 17-3 on the season, including a 2-1 mark in Southeastern Conference play.

The Tide took an early lead with one in the first but a four-spot in the third helped the Vols gain the advantage.

Alabama baseball fell to the sixth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers, 11-3, on Friday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The 12th-ranked Crimson Tide moved to 15-3 overall and 0-1 in Southeastern Conference play.

Tennessee gained an early lead with one in the first, but the Tide answered with two runs in the home half thanks to back-to-back home runs from TJ McCants and Ian Petrutz.

A long day for Alabama baseball finished with a pair of wins over the Lipscomb Bisons.

Hess’ Standout Start, Lead Baseball to 12-0 Win over Indiana


Tuscaloosa, AL

Alabama baseball used a standout start from Ben Hess combined with a pair of big innings on offense for a 12-0 run-rule victory over No. 21 Indiana on Friday evening at Riders Field.

With the win, the 15th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 10-0 to start the year.

Hess (3-0) was masterful on Friday, maintaining a no-hitter through 4.0 frames and finishing with 5.0 scoreless innings that included just one hit, a walk and a career-high tying 10 strikeouts.

Alabama baseball scored three runs in the 10th inning to come away with a 9-7 win over UAB on Tuesday evening at Regions Field. The 15th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 9-0 on the year.

UAB gained a 4-0 advantage after two innings of play, plating one in the first and three in the second. Both teams stayed scoreless until the fifth when a two-run homer from Bryce Eblin cut the lead in half.
