Trailing by two in the seventh inning, Alabama brought the potential go-ahead run to the plate but Georgia ultimately held on to secure the 4-2 win and take Friday's series opener.
Alabama (21-4, 1-3 SEC) got on the board first with a second-inning solo home run from Kenleigh Cahalan and led until Georgia (22-3, 1-0 SEC) hit a three-run home run with two outs in the fourth to move in front, 3-1. |
