Tuscaloosa, AL The No. 20 Alabama women's diving team defeated West Florida 51-5 Friday at the Don Gambril Olympic Pool in the Alabama Aquatic Center. The Crimson Tide women swept all three events, earning seven new NCAA Zone B diving cuts in the process. Ryleigh Rodgers led the team with wins on the 1m (285.75) and 3m (313.88) boards. Courtney Russo earned her second win of the season, taking top honors on the platform (256.20). |

Alabama swimmer Kensey McMahon capped her week at the Phillips 66 National Championships by winning a bronze medal in the 1500m freestyle.
McMahon swam a time of 16:07.78 to finish third in the event, bettering her 16:09.80 Alabama record-breaking performance from 2019. |

Volleyball Adds Gabbi LeBlanc to Freshman Class

Alabama volleyball has announced the addition of setter Gabbi LeBlanc to this year's incoming freshman class, joining the team for the upcoming 2023 season.
"When we had the opportunity to watch Gabbi compete, she played with fire and passion and we knew she would be an amazing addition to the Alabama family," UA head coach Rashinda Reed said. "We look forward to seeing her battle alongside her other teammates as we continue to build this program." LeBlanc is one of seven freshmen joining the Crimson Tide this fall, along with Allison Berent, Kyla Dunaway, Lily Hopkins, Callie Kieffer, Kaleigh Palmer and Jordyn Towns. |

Hodgson joins the program with over 10 years of coaching experience, which includes spending the last five seasons at Northwestern as an assistant coach from 2018-20 and an associate head coach from 2020-23. |

Each year, the Conference names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community. |

Alabama swimmer Derek Maas was named the recipient of the NCAA's Elite 90 award on day two of the 2023 Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis.
The Elite 90 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships. |

The Alabama men's swimming and diving team opened the 2023 NCAA Championships with two top-15 relay finishes Wednesday at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
Alabama started the meet with an 11th-place finish in the 200 medley relay as the contingent of Matt Menke, Derek Maas, Mateo Miceli and Tim Korstanje posted a season-best time in the event. The Crimson Tide's second swim of the night featured Charlie Hawke, Kaique Alves, Cam Auerbach and Kacper Piotrowski as the four combined for a 10th-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay. |

Minneapolis, Minn. Bama Swimming and Diving Set for Men’s NCAA Championships
The Alabama men's swimming and diving team is set to compete at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., at Minnesota's Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center. The four-day meet will run from March 22-25.
The Crimson Tide had five swimmers qualify for individual events, with Charlie Hawke, Victor Johansson, Derek Maas, Matt Menke and Mateo Miceli representing Alabama across eight individual events. Kaique Alves, Cam Auerbach, Tim Korstanje and Kacper Piotrowski also qualified for the meet as part of all five of Alabama's qualifying relays. |

Tuscaloosa, AL Bama’s Auerbach, Maas & Antoniou Named CSC 2nd-Team All-Americans
Alabama swimming and diving's Cam Auerbach and Derek Maas were awarded Second-Team Academic All-America honors by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.
This year's honor marks Auerbach's first appearance on the CSC Academic team. For Maas, the announcement becomes the third consecutive time that the Holland, Mich., native has made the list after being awarded first-team CSC honors in both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. Both seniors currently hold a perfect 4.00 GPA with Auerbach chasing a marketing degree and Maas pursuing a master's in business administration. Earlier this week, swimmer Kalia Antoniou, from the women's side, also earned second-team CSC Academic All-America honors for the Crimson Tide. It's the first appearance on the list for Auerbach and third-straight for Maas, who have both qualified for the 2023 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. |

Tuscaloosa, AL Five Tide Swimmers to NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships
Five Alabama swimmers earned qualifying spots for the upcoming NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held on the campus of Minnesota, March 22-25.
Alabama's men are coming off a seventh-place team finish at the Southeastern Conference Championships with the program capturing a gold medal and three school records across the meet. Last season, the Crimson Tide earned a 14th place finish at the NCAA Championships, marking its eighth consecutive top-15 finish. |

Tuscaloosa, AL Alabama Swimming and Diving Splits Dual Meet with Auburn
Alabama swimming and diving traveled to Auburn for its final dual meet of the 2022-23 season on Friday.
The No. 6-ranked Alabama women defeated No. 19 Auburn 155-145, while the No.14 Crimson Tide men fell to No. 9 Auburn 184-116. The women's squad won 10 individual events and both relays while the men won the final relay and five individual events. |

Tuscaloosa, AL Alabama Swimming and Diving Travels to Auburn for Friday Dual Meet
Alabama Swimming and Diving returns to action against Auburn Friday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center in Auburn, Ala., starting at 4 p.m. CT.
It marks the final dual meet of the season for the Alabama men and women. The Crimson Tide women enter the meet ranked sixth in the CSCAA Coaches Poll, with the men's squad checking in at No. 14. The Alabama men hold a 3-2-0 dual meet record with wins over Delta State, South Carolina and LSU. The UA women also hold a 3-2-0 dual meet record recording wins over Arkansas, South Carolina and LSU. The meet will stream on ESPN+ with live results available via the MeetMobile app. |
