The Crimson Tide travel party were treated to some excitement before departing Tuscaloosa Regional Airport as the staff and players were greeted by hundreds of fans, as well as Big Al, UA cheer and band.
Once the Tide boarded the plane, the flight took approximately three-and-a-half hours. Once the travel party de-planed, a trio of buses, led by a police escort, took the team to its hotel in downtown Phoenix. |

A pair of Alabama gymnasts combined for five Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Regular Season All-America honors, the organization announced Thursday.
Luisa Blanco earned four accolades, picking up first-team honors in the all-around and on vault, along with second-team recognition on the uneven bars and the balance beam. Blanco has now totaled 20 honors for her career, breaking the program record of 18 set by Jeana Rice from 2001-04. |

Alabama baseball's ninth-inning comeback fell just short in a 9-8 loss to 10th-ranked South Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
Following the series finale, the 15th-ranked Crimson Tide moved to 21-7 overall and 4-5 in Southeastern Conference play. Alabama built a four-run advantage to start the day, plating one apiece in the second and fourth with a two-run third in between. |

The Alabama men's basketball team made history Saturday night in Crypto.com Arena, as the No. 4 seed Crimson Tide reached the program's first-ever Final Four, defeating No. 6 seed Clemson, 89-82, in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Elite Eight.
Mark Sears, who was named the West Region Most Valuable Player, led five UA players in double figures, finishing with a game high 23 points on 7-14 shooting from beyond the arc. Nick Pringle collected a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. |

The Alabama rowing program's Third Varsity Eight+ crew received Boat of the Week honors after its performance in the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite in Oak Ridge, Tenn., the league office announced Wednesday.
The 3V8+ crew was one of five Crimson Tide boats to claim a first-place finish last weekend against Wisconsin and North Carolina, with all three teams receiving votes in the Pocock/CRCA Week 1 poll. |

For the second straight weekend, Alabama softball put together a seventh-inning rally to force extra innings but the Crimson Tide fell again as Kentucky walked it off in the bottom of the eighth to win, 4-3, and take the weekend series.
Some infield miscommunication in the second inning from Alabama (26-8, 3-6 SEC) allowed Kentucky (23-12, 2-7 SEC) to take the first lead of the game on an infield RBI single, but a strikeout ended the frame to limit the damage to one run. |

After the New England Patriots traded Mac Jones to Jacksonville, the former Alabama quarterback hoped to “get the train back on the tracks” with the Jaguars.
A starter from his first NFL game with the Patriots in 2021, Jones lost that position with six games remaining in 2023 season. With one season left on Jones’ guaranteed contract, New England gave up on the quarterback. |

With the victory, the Crimson Tide will face #6 seed Clemson Saturday with the winner advancing to the 2024 Men's Basketball Final Four. Grant Nelson played arguably his best game in an Alabama uniform, as he finished with 24 points. The No. 8-seeded Alabama women's basketball team fell to No. 1 seed Texas, 65-54, Sunday night in the Second Round of the 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.
With the loss, the Crimson Tide finished one of its best seasons with a 24-10 overall record and 10-6 mark in Southeastern Conference play. Although Texas led by as much as 15 points, Alabama responded multiple times to keep the score within 10 for most of the game. |

The No. 8 Alabama gymnastics team will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the 2024 NCAA Regional Championships, the NCAA announced Monday during the Gymnastics Selection Show.
Alabama is the No. 2 seed in the regional, with No. 1 Oklahoma the top seed. The Tide and the Sooners will be joined by host school No. 9 Michigan and No. 16 NC State as the ranked programs in the nine-team regional field. |

Alabama baseball suffered a 10-5 loss to Georgia on Sunday afternoon at Foley Field. Following the series finale with the Bulldogs, the ninth-ranked Crimson Tide is now 18-6 on the season and 2-4 in Southeastern Conference play.
Things were even at 1-1 at the midway point of the second when Georgia began a stretch of eight unanswered runs headed to the seventh. In that seventh, the Tide cut into the lead with a three-run homer from Kade Snell. |

When Alabama football head coach Kalen DeBoer was doing a radio interview on Tuesday, he pointed out one position group that had impressed him through the early days of spring practice.
According to DeBoer, the defensive backfield had been excellent. Just like nearly everything else in the program, the defensive backfield has seen significant change since Nick Saban’s retirement, with Kane Wommack taking over as defensive coordinator under DeBoer. |

The No. 7 Alabama gymnastics program finished in second place at the 2024 Southeastern Conference Championships with a score of 197.750 to secure a top-three finish at the conference meet for the 25th straight year, while recording a top-two finish for the 21st time during that span.
With the result Saturday night, the Crimson Tide is still the only program in the league to never finish outside the top four. |

Alabama and Georgia were tied at 5-5 from the fourth inning on before a grand slam in the ninth walked it off for the Bulldogs in game one. The two teams were tied at 3-3 after three innings in game two before UA moved ahead with one run in the seventh. |

Alabama softball rallied in the bottom of the seventh to send Saturday's game against Virginia Tech to extra innings, but the Hokies scored five runs in the eighth to ultimately split the weekend series and defeat the Crimson Tide, 8-3.
