• 2023 Bama X-country Track 2023 •  Tuscaloosa, AL CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – As only a freshman, Doris Lemngole ended her rookie campaign with a national runner-up finish at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Teammate Hilda Olemomoi also logged a top-four finish as the distance duo propelled the Alabama women's cross country program to a seventh-place team finish – the Crimson Tide's second consecutive top-10 finish and the fourth straight year with a top-15 placement. Competing individually, Victor Kiprop (29:31.5) finished in the top 20 of the men's 10K race, while Hillary Cheruiyot (30:33.1) clocked a top-100 finish. Joining Lemngole (19:05.7) and Olemomoi (19:22.1) in the top 55 was Joy Gill (53rd | 20:15.0) who helped lead Alabama to its top-seven team finish. The Crimson Tide was one of four Southeastern Conference programs to finish in the top 10 of the women's 6K race, joining Florida (fifth), Tennessee (sixth) and Arkansas (ninth). The Crimson Tide concluded Friday with three runners earning All-America honors for their top-40, individual finishes.
