A classic Men’s College World Series served as the bookend to the 2022-23 college sports calendar.

With that final set of data, the Learfield Director’s Cup standings are complete as the overall success of athletic departments is ranked. Beginning in 1993, the award is designed to reward departments that are successful in a wide range of sports.

Alabama was No. 12 with 1,037.75 points while Auburn was No. 36 with 657.50.

For the Crimson Tide, this year’s performance was a 10-place improvement over the 22nd-place finish last year. It was No. 7 the year before that.

Zooming out, all 14 of the SEC schools ranked within the top 60. Mississippi State had the lowest total at No. 57, one spot ahead of Vanderbilt.
