The University of Alabama placed 131 student-athletes on the Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Thursday.

The Crimson Tide was one of just three programs to post more than 120 student-athletes to the academic list. In addition to the academic honor, student-athletes from six Alabama programs advanced to postseason competition. A combined of 48 men's (19) and women's (29) track and field student-athletes earned the honor after helping the program to a strong NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championship showing. UA's NCAA Super Regional baseball (17) and College World Series softball (10) teams posted a combined 27 student-athletes, while the men's (6) and women's (4) golf programs had a total of 10 nods.

Additionally, rowing had 33 student-athletes earn the academic honor, while women's tennis had eight and men's tennis had five.

To earn a place on the honor roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.0 or better grade-point average for either the preceding academic year or their career and be a sophomore or better in academic standing. The spring list honors those student-athletes that participate in baseball, beach volleyball, men's and women's golf, lacrosse, rowing, softball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field. A total of 1,454 student-athletes earned the honor during the spring of 2023.

So far this season, Alabama has placed 271 students on the SEC fall, winter and spring honor rolls. Additional names will be added to the Tide's tally when the first-year list comes out later in June.
