• Gymnastics Season Ends at NCAA Regional Finals •

The No. 8 Alabama gymnastics team finished in fourth place at the NCAA Regional finals in the Lloyd Noble Center on the campus of the University of Oklahoma, scoring a 197.650.

The top-seeded Oklahoma Sooners won the regional with a 198.050, followed by No. 9 Kentucky at 197.850. No. 15 Ohio State finished third with a program record team total of 197.750.

• Tide Gymnastics Advances to Norman Regional Final •

The No. 8 Alabama gymnastics team finished in second place at the Norman Regional semifinals to advance to Saturday's regional final.

The Crimson Tide scored a 197.375 to defeat Iowa (196.500) and Illinois (195.675), while being edged out by No. 9 Kentucky (197.475).

• Bama Gymnastics Headed to OU for 2023 NCAA Regional Championships •

The No. 8 Alabama gymnastics team will travel to Norman, Okla., for the 2023 NCAA Regional Championships, announced Monday during the NCAA Gymnastics Selection Show.

Alabama is the No. 2 seed in the regional, with No. 1 Oklahoma the top seed. The Tide and the Sooners will be joined by No. 9 Kentucky and No. 16 Ohio State as the ranked teams in the regional field.

To begin the three round regional competition, NC State and Ball State will compete in a play-in matchup on Wednesday, March 29, with the winner advancing to Thursday's regional semifinals.

• Alabama Gymnastics Defeats Boise State on Senior Night •

The No. 8 Alabama gymnastics team defeated Boise State 197.125-194.775 on senior night in Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide won all four events and swept all of the individual titles in the contest.

Alabama opened the meet with a 49.400, posting its second highest vault rotation score of the season.

The Crimson Tide extended its lead with a 49.375 on the uneven bars, opening up a 98.775-97.125 lead at the halfway point.

UA scored a 49.125 on the balance beam and closed out the win with a 49.225 on the floor exercise.

• Bama Edged Out by LSU, 197.975-197.925, Friday Night •


No. 9 Alabama was edged out by No. 8 LSU, 197.975-197.925, Friday Night in Coleman Coliseum.

The Crimson Tide earned the second-highest score in program history on balance beam and its highest since April 6, 2022, with a rotation total of 49.700.

Alabama's 49.700 on balance beam was capped by back-to-back scores of 10.0 on the balance beam, with Lilly Hudson and Luisa Blanco both earning a perfect score.

Hudson's 10.0 was the first of her career, with Blanco's her third and second this season.

It is the first time in program history that Alabama has recorded two scores of 10.0 on the same event in a single meet.

• Blanco leads No.9 Tide to victory over No. 19 Georgia •


The No. 9 Alabama gymnastics team defeated No. 19 Georgia, 197.525-197.325, Friday night in Stegeman Coliseum. With the win, the Tide moves to 6-3 on the season and 4-2 within the SEC.

Alabama opened up a .225 lead after the opening rotation with a 49.375 on the uneven bars, closed out with a 9.900 from Makarri Doggette and a 9.950 from Luisa Blanco.

The Tide extended its lead with a 49.350 on the vault, followed up by a 49.475 on floor exercise, UA's highest rotation total of the night. Alabama closed out the win with a 49.325 on the balance beam, with every single rotation score 49.325-or-higher.

• Bama Gymnastics Defeats No. 6 Auburn Friday Night in Coleman Coliseum •


The No. 11 Alabama gymnastics team defeated the Auburn Tigers 197.850-197.700 in front of a sold-out Coleman Coliseum crowd Friday night.

The Crimson Tide earned its highest score of the season on both balance beam and floor exercise, with UA's 49.700 rotation total on floor the highest on the event in the nation this season.

Following a 49.175 on the vault to open the meet, the Tide's rotation scores got higher after each rotation.

Alabama followed a 49.325 on the uneven bars with a 49.650 on the balance beam, tying for the second-highest total on the event in program history. The Tide closed out the night with a 49.700 on floor exercise, tying a program record on the event.

• Bama Gymnastics Loses at Kentucky, 197.825 - 197.375 •


The No. 13 Alabama gymnastics team was edged out by the No. 10 Kentucky Wildcats Friday night in Memorial Coliseum, 197.825-197.375.

Despite earning a season-best score for the Crimson Tide, the Wildcats posted their top team score in program history to pull out the victory.

Alabama's total included its fifth-highest uneven bars score in program history, a 49.625, and its highest at an away meet during the regular season in program history.

Senior Makarri Doggette headlined the Tide's competition, scoring her second career perfect 10 on the uneven bars.

It marked the first perfect score by an Alabama gymnast since both Doggette and Luisa Blanco accomplished the feat on April 2, 2021 at the NCAA Regional finals.

• Alabama Gymnastics Falls to No. 2 Florida Friday Night •


The No. 11 Alabama gymnastics team came up short against the No. 2 Florida Gators, 197.325-196.450, Friday Night in Coleman Coliseum.

The Crimson Tide rallied after a slow start with its highest balance beam and floor exercise totals of the season so far.

After counting a fall on the uneven bars for a 48.675 rotation total, Alabama surged back on the balance beam with a 49.250, led by a leadoff 9.900 from Ella Burgess.

The Tide then closed out the night with a 49.425 on floor exercise, led by four consecutive scores of 9.9-or-higher: Shania Adams (9.900), Gabby Gladieux (9.900), Lilly Hudson (9.925) and Luisa Blanco (9.950).

Jordyn Paradise won her first event title of the year on vault (9.900), while Blanco earned her second title of the year on floor exercise and fifth overall with her 9.950.

• Gymnastics Defeats Michigan State to Open 2023 Season •


The No. 7 Alabama gymnastics team opened the 2023 season with a 196.975- 196.550 win over No. 12 Michigan State Friday night in Coleman Coliseum.

The Crimson Tide hit 24 of 24 routines without a fall in the opener and won every single event, posting the program's second-highest score for a season opener.

Seniors Luisa Blanco and Makarri Doggette combined for all four event titles and finished as the top two in the all-around.

Blanco won the all-around with a 39.575, taking home the event titles on balance beam (9.900) and floor exercise (9.925).

Makarri Doggette, competing in the all-around for the first time since her freshman year, finished with a 39.375 and won both the vault (9.900) and uneven bars (9.900).

Making her debut in Coleman Coliseum, freshman Gabby Gladieux impressed as she posted a 9.900 on floor exercise in the final rotation to push Alabama to a 49.250 total and seal the win. The rookie also posted scores of 9.825 on both vault and balance beam in the meet.

♦ Gymnastics Hosts Crimson and White Preview Friday Night ♦


The Alabama gymnastics team will host its Crimson and White Preview Friday night at 7 p.m. CT inside of Coleman Coliseum. The event is free to all fans and will give fans a sneak peek at this year's team.

The event will be in a modified dual meet format, with Alabama's roster divided into two teams for the showcase.

The preview will also give Alabama fans their first look at the Tide's six-member freshman class, consisting of Karis German, Gabby Gladieux, Zoe Gravier, Lillian Lewis, Lauren Little and Rachel Rybicki.

This year's squad consists of 18 gymnasts, made up of 12 returners and six rookies. Alabama's veterans will be led by returning All-Americans Luisa Blanco, Shallon Olsen, Makarri Doggette and Lilly Hudson.

Blanco, a 12-time All-American, was the 2021 SEC Gymnast of the Year and the 2021 NCAA Balance Beam Champion.

The Crimson Tide will open its season at home against No. 12 Michigan State on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. CT.

♦ Gymnastics Releases Blockbuster 2023 Home Schedule ♦


The Alabama gymnastics team announced its 2023 home schedule Monday, a slate that includes five meets, all of which come against teams that finished last season in the top 25.

Ashley Johnston, in her first season as the Crimson Tide's head coach, put together a powerhouse schedule that includes three Southeastern Conference squads.

Three teams that finish in the top 10 last season and the defending SEC Champions.
