♦ Bama Soccer to SEC Championships With Win over Vandy ♦


A pair of goals from Riley Mattingly Parker propelled No. 1-seeded Alabama (19-1-1) to a 2-1 victory over No. 5-seeded Vanderbilt (11-4-4) Thursday,

The Crimson Tide advanced to its first SEC Championship appearance since 1995.

♦ Kat Rogers Named to SEC Community Service Team ♦


Alabama soccer's Kat Rogers was named to the 2022 SEC Community Service Team the league office announced on Wednesday. The UA graduated student earned her third selection for the service team.

Rogers continues to lead the Alabama soccer team in community service activities. This semester, Rogers worked with the Rise Center and CrossingPoints.

At the Rise Center, she helped young children both with and without special needs develop skills necessary to succeed in a school setting.

In addition to her time at the Rise Center, Rogers has worked with CrossingPoints where she helped students with intellectual disabilities.

Over her career she has served as a member of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and worked with Halloween Extravaganza, Project Angle Tree and Beat Auburn Beat Hunger.

Rogers graduated undergrad with a 4.0 GPA in management. The two-year captain scored the game-winning goal on Sunday, leading the Tide to a 2-0 victory against Florida.

She also has six assists this season, including three assists against Chattanooga. Rogers has played in all 18 games this season and helped Alabama to a 16-1-1 overall record which includes an 9-0 record in conference play.

Rogers' leadership helped UA clinch its first SEC Championships and first Western Division title in 24 years.

♦ Soccer Stays Perfect In SEC With Win Over Auburn ♦


The No. 3/1 Alabama soccer team (17-1-1) concluded the regular season with a perfect 10-0 run in Southeastern Conference action as the Crimson Tide knocked off Auburn (6-6-6, 2-6-2 SEC) on the road Thursday.

Riley Tanner netted the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of play to give UA a 1-0 win over the Tigers.

Alabama also won its third-consecutive Iron Bowl of soccer, marking the first time the Tide has won the Iron Bowl trophy three years in a row since its four-year run from 1996-99.

♦ Rowing Closes Fall Schedule with Head of the Black Warrior River ♦


Alabama closed out its fall season Saturday morning in Tuscaloosa, hosting the Head of the Black Warrior River against Clemson, Louisville, Oklahoma and Miami.

In the head race portion of the schedule, the Tide sent two 8s onto the water with its A crew leading the way with a time of 17:08.7. Twenty boats raced in the Varsity 4s, with the leading Crimson Tide crew crossing the line in 18:25.4.

Thirteen pairs from the five schools then took the water, with Hannah Bennett and Saskia Dammersmith leading the pack with a winning time of 19:28.1.

The head race concluded with the Novice 8s, with Alabama's fastest boat coming in third with a time of 19:11.8.

The Crimson Tide will begin the spring season on Saturday, Feb. 25 on the road at Clemson.

♦ No. 3/1 Soccer Clinches SEC Regular Season Title with 2-0 Win over UF ♦


The No. 3/1 Alabama soccer team (16-1-1, 9-0-0 SEC) clinched its first ever Southeastern Conference regular season title on Sunday as the Crimson Tide defeated Florida (0-7-1, 2-12-1 SEC) 2-0 at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.

From Head Coach Wes Hart:

"I'm so happy for our team and what we were able to accomplish this season.

Our players have answered every challenge thrown their way, and we've done it in so many ways, with so many different players stepping up from one game to the next.

This team will forever be known as the first Alabama soccer team to win an SEC regular season title."

• No. 3/1 Bama Soccer Clinches West Div Title with 4-1 Win at Miss. St. •


The No. 3/1 Alabama soccer team (15-1-1, 8-0-0 SEC) cliched the SEC's Western Division on Thursday with a 4-1 victory over Mississippi State (10-3-3, 4-3-1 SEC).

The road win was the Tide's 11th straight, setting a program record for most consecutive victories in a season, while also topping the program mark for most wins in a single campaign with 15 on the year.
