Tuscaloosa, AL ♦ Kat Rogers Named to SEC Community Service Team ♦
Alabama soccer's Kat Rogers was named to the 2022 SEC Community Service Team the league office announced on Wednesday. The UA graduated student earned her third selection for the service team.
Rogers continues to lead the Alabama soccer team in community service activities. This semester, Rogers worked with the Rise Center and CrossingPoints. At the Rise Center, she helped young children both with and without special needs develop skills necessary to succeed in a school setting. In addition to her time at the Rise Center, Rogers has worked with CrossingPoints where she helped students with intellectual disabilities. Over her career she has served as a member of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and worked with Halloween Extravaganza, Project Angle Tree and Beat Auburn Beat Hunger. Rogers graduated undergrad with a 4.0 GPA in management. The two-year captain scored the game-winning goal on Sunday, leading the Tide to a 2-0 victory against Florida. She also has six assists this season, including three assists against Chattanooga. Rogers has played in all 18 games this season and helped Alabama to a 16-1-1 overall record which includes an 9-0 record in conference play. Rogers' leadership helped UA clinch its first SEC Championships and first Western Division title in 24 years. |
