BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced each of its future 16 member teams' permanent baseball opponents on Thursday morning. Alabama will be paired with Auburn and Tennessee each year starting in 2025.

Beginning in 2025, SEC baseball teams will play a three-game series against two permanent opponents and eight rotating opponents for a total of 30 conference games. Standings will be kept in a single-division format, eliminating divisional standings.

The permanent opponents were determined based on a number of factors including geography, traditional opponents and strength of schedule.

Auburn:

The two teams have met 308 times in a series that dates back to 1896.

Alabama leads the all-time series, 168-140.

The Crimson Tide's record vs. Auburn: in Tuscaloosa (84-51) | in Auburn (56-63) | at neutral sites (28-26).

Alabama and Auburn last met in the 2023 SEC Tournament, with the Tide earning a 7-4 win over the Tigers to eliminate AU from Hoover.

Tennessee:

The two teams have met 122 times in a series that dates back to 1897.

Alabama leads the all-time series, 78-44.

The Crimson Tide's record vs. Tennessee: in Tuscaloosa (46-18) | in Knoxville (26-24) | at neutral sites (6-2).

Alabama and Tennessee last met from April 15-17, 2022, in Knoxville with the top-ranked Vols earning a 2-1 series victory.
