Tuscaloosa, AL The Alabama coaching staff selected six players of the week following the Crimson Tide's top-15 matchup with then-No. 11/10 Texas last Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kobe Prentice on offense; Deontae Lawson and Malachi Moore on defense; and James Burnip, Kendrick Law and Will Reichard on special teams were all named for their efforts against the Longhorns. OFFENSE: Kobe Prentice Caught five of his six targets for a team-leading 68 yards receiving Converted three first downs with a long reception of 28 on the night DEFENSE: Deontae Lawson Finished second on the Tide defense with eight total tackles Malachi Moore Recorded five tackles and added one pass breakup in his start SPECIAL TEAMS: James Burnip Accumulated 263 yards on five punts against the Longhorns Averaged 52.6 yards per boot with a career-long 61-yard punt Pinned the Longhorn offense inside the 20 on three of his kicks. Kendrick Law Returned one kickoff for a gain of 18 yards Also contributed on the Tide's coverage units. Will Reichard Finished with 11 points on the night, converting three field goals to go with a pair of PATs. Hit on his three-point tries from 42, 30 and a season-long 51 yards. Added five kickoffs for a combined 325 yards with four touchbacks. |
