Tuscaloosa, AL Alabama volleyball completed its weekend sweep of the Crimson Tide Invitational with a three-set win over Mercer Saturday afternoon in Foster Auditorium. Alabama (3-0) needed just three sets to defeat Mercer (1-2) in the weekend finale, marking its third sweep in as many matches. The last time the Tide earned three sweeps to start a season was 1990. Kendyl Reaugh led the Alabama attack with 14 kills, adding 14 digs for her first double-double of the season and the 12th of her career. Micah Gryniewicz was also in double figures with 12 kills. Chaise Campbell came up strong on both sides of the net, tallying seven kills to go along with four blocks. Freshman Callie Kieffer also posted a season-high 34 assists. |
