• Saban wants more offensive line depth, consistency •

• 2023 Bama Sports 2023 •  Tuscaloosa, AL  Alabama football’s offensive line has a solid group of  returning   starters.    From JC Latham at right tackle, to Seth McLaughlin at  center.    The Tide also have younger players on the rise, including  Tyler   Booker at guard.  But it’s not enough at the moment.     Head coach Nick Saban said Saturday after the team’s first  scrimmage that he wants more from the group.  “Inconsistent, not enough depth,” Saban said of the  offensive   line.    “We had a couple explosive runs but you know, when you’re playing against each other, was the explosive run because of great execution or was it because of terrible execution on the other side?  Until you watch the film it’s kind of hard to evaluate.” The top of the group is as good as it gets in college football.  Latham was chosen as a preseason first-team all-SEC player at his position after a dominant 2022. • ROLLING WITH THE TIDE •
