Tuscaloosa, AL The Alabama women's basketball team defeated Louisiana-Monroe, 70-54, Sunday afternoon inside Coleman Coliseum. With the win, the Crimson Tide captured its eighth-straight home victory and improved to 11-2 to start the season. Sarah Ashlee Barker collected her 10th double-digit point game this year with 18 to lead Alabama, while adding eight rebounds in the win. Aaliyah Nye (14) and Loyal McQueen (13) also posted double-digits, with Essence Cody collecting a game-high nine rebounds to go along with her eight points. The Warhawks (8-2) were led by Daisha Bradford posting game-highs in both points (24) and rebounds (9). |
