Tuscaloosa, AL The Alabama women's basketball team defeated the Morehead State Eagles 85-44 Sunday afternoon in Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide picked up their third straight victory to start the 2023-24 season. The Tide held Morehead State to just 11 points in the first half and a strong third quarter outing (11-15 field goals) on offense pushed Alabama to victory. Aaliyah Nye led the team with 14 points while four other players finished in double figures including Del'Janae Williams (13), Jessica Timmons (12), Sarah Ashlee Barker (10), and Loyal McQueen (10) for the Tide. Williams earned a season-high with her 13 points while Essence Cody led the team in rebounds (7).
