Tuscaloosa, AL The Alabama women's basketball team defeated the Alabama State Hornets 93-39 Monday night in Coleman Coliseum in the 2023-24 season opener for both teams. All 11 Crimson Tide players scored at least one point in the 54-point victory. Sarah Ashlee Barker led Alabama as she scored a career-high 23 points while picking up a game-high eight rebounds. Jessica Timmons also put up a career-high points with 18 on the night while Essence Cody added 11 points in her collegiate debut.
