Tuscaloosa, AL • Softball Shuts Out Southern Miss Wednesday in Tuscaloosa •
Alabama softball shut out Southern Miss, 5-0, Wednesday night at Rhoads Stadium.
After two scoreless innings, Alabama (12-3) got into the run column first against Southern Miss (12-2) courtesy of a two-out RBI single from Ashley Prange. In the bottom of the fourth with two on and one out, Jenna Johnson added some cushion with a three-run home run to left, making it 4-0. Bailey Dowling one-hopped the wall in left for an RBI double in the fifth to stretch the lead to five, and the 5-0 lead proved final as the Crimson Tide kept the Golden Eagles out of the run column for the remained to retain the shutout. |
