Tuscaloosa, AL ♦ Alabama Falls To 12-3 after 89-76 Loss @ Tennessee ♦
A late push from the Crimson Tide fell short on Sunday as the Alabama women's basketball team (12-3, 1-1 SEC) fell 89-76 to Tennessee (10-6, 2-0 SEC) in Thompson-Boling Arena.
Megan Abrams led all scorers with a season-high 24 points while Loyal McQueen tallied a career-high 21 points as the duo scored 45 of UA's 76 points in the game. McQueen and Hannah Barber led the team in assists with three apiece, while Jada Rice pulled down a team-leading seven boards. Tennessee was led by Rickea Jackson, who scored 22 points in the game in addition to recording seven boards and three assists. Tess Darby recorded 16 points, three blocks and a steal, while both Jordan Walker and Jillian Hollingshead tallied 15 points for the Lady Vols. |
