Arkansas’ Ava Tankersley, a graduate forward from St. Charles, Mo., contributed to both of Arkansas’ wins this week. In the SEC opener against LSU, Tankersley made a crucial assist to help secure the game-winner. Later, against Missouri, she recorded her second brace of the season in an 8-2 win. Tankersley currently leads the team in assists (6) and points (20). Defensive - POW - Maddy Anderson - Mississippi State’s Maddy Anderson, a graduate goalkeeper from Seabrook, Texas, recorded two shutouts this week, raising her career total to 32. Anderson has secured seven clean sheets this season (eight combined), ranking second in the NCAA. Her defensive efforts were key in Miss. St’s success against Oklahoma and No. 11 Texas. Freshman - POW - Katie Shea Collins - South Carolina’s Katie Shea Collins, a freshman forward from Gallatin, Tenn., made her way into the starting lineup to begin SEC play and scored her fifth goal of the season against Kentucky. Collins has played 70+ minutes in both SEC matches and leads her team in shots on goal, converting on a key penalty kick for the Gamecocks’ win against the Wildcats. |
